HE'S ALL THAT
Honestly, I watched this movie as a joke with my friends. The lead actress is Addison Rae, a tiktoker who has never acted before. It was obvious. The plot was uninspired and predictable. I could almost see most of the actors reading their lines in their head. It was hard to make it through the entire movie. I was shocked that Kourtney Kardashian made an appearance. I thought this movie seems very beneath her. Overall, the highlight of the movie was how funny it was from being so bad. I would recommend watching it with friends because its entertaining to make fun of.

TITANICI have been meaning to watch Titanic for like five years and finally got around to it this weekend. Even though it was long, I really enjoyed it. The acting was amazing. I believed in every emotion that they were feeling. I was never bored and appreciated the balance of action and a solid plot which is not easy to do. My favorite scene was when Rose had to go down to one of the bottom floors of the boat to save Jack while the water was rising. It was very intense. The best character is Jack and I while I wished he survived, the movie wouldn't be the same without his death. But there was plenty of room on that door next to Rose. Overall, Titanic was fantastic and I look forward to watching similar disaster movies.

UNHINGED
This movie is unlike most I tend to watch. I wouldn't call it scary, but it was definitely disturbing. Russel Crowe did an incredible job with the role. He felt so intimidating and unstoppable. My favorite part of Unhinged was how unpredictable it was. At no point could I guess what would happen next. My least favorite person was probably girl who played the main role. Her acting was amazing but her character kept making stupid decisions again and again. It frustrated me. Overall, I really liked the movie, but it was something that I would only need to watch once.
The Dry
An absolutely fantastic movie. One of my favorites that I've seen in a long time. There was nothing I would've changed about it. I love murder mysteries to begin with and the Dry did it brilliantly. By the end, all of my questions were answered and there wasn't anything that was left opened. There was the perfect amount of action and emotion. It wasn't predictable at all. I considered everyone a suspect throughout the movie. The acting was amazing which always improves the quality of the movie as well. I will be watching similar films to this one.
From Morn to Moonlight
Honestly, I was just bored. It was a movie about a cashier stealing from an old lady. I do not like silent films. I prefer to watch and listen to movies rather than read them. I found the plot incredibly slow. I do respect early movies and how much they contributed to the film industry, but they are just not for me. I liked the set and I find it interesting how different they look from sets nowadays.
Fear
I LOVED this movie. The casting was amazing. Mark Wahlberg is the perfect person to play this creepy, yet enticing villain and Reese Witherspoon has a natural innocence to her. My only complaint about the film was that it is a bit predictable. I could kind of guess what was going to come next and how it would end. However, I was always on the edge of my seat. Usually, its frustrating when characters make stupid decisions that put them in more danger, but it worked for Fear. I'm learning that my favorite genre are these psychological thrillers. I will definitely be watching more like this one in the future.
Hocus Pocus
I hadn't seen this movie since I was like 6 years old. Watching it definitely brought back a lot of nostalgia and I really enjoyed it. I love 90s movies. The fashion, atmosphere, etc. seems so happy in a way. Hocus Pocus was the perfect movie to watch with Halloween coming up. I was thoroughly entertained the entire time and enjoyed picking up on all of the little one liners I had missed when I was a kid. I highly recommend this movie for something to remind someone my age of their childhood.
Freaky
This movie was alright. It was a cute little horror film. Even though it was cheesy, the acting was pretty good, especially Vance Vaughn's part. I found it very impressive how well he channeled both a popular teenage girl and a serial killer. There were some parts of the movie I found kind of stupid like the Butcher and her boyfriend in the car. I would recommend this movie as something to watch with friends during October, but its definitely something you only need to see once.
Scooby-Doo
I have not watched this movie since I was like 6 years old. It was very nostalgic for me. The cast could not have been more perfect. Each actor fit their role so well. I couldn't imagine anyone else in the movie. The film kept me genuinely interested. There was definitely plenty of action. While its probably not the best movie out there, it reminded me so much of my childhood that I didn't really care. I will be watching more of the Scooby Doo movies in the future, especially with friends because it makes it even funnier.
The Visit
I rate this move a 6.4 out of 10. I'm not a huge fan of actual horror movies, but I think The Visit was a good balance between scary and psychological. The plot was a little slow, but the ending was fantastic. Whoever played the fake grandparents did a great job with their roles. I also liked the little quirks that were added to each of the children's personalities: T Diamond Styles the rapper and the up and coming director. I'm really glad Shyamalan decided to film the movie documentary style. It added a whole different element to the film and I think the movie would've been boring without it.
A Cinderella Story
This is a childhood favorite that I hadn't watched in like 12 years. It's so 2000s and I love it. Chad Michael Murray is one of my favorite actors and Hilary Duff is perfect for this role as well. It's such a make you feel good movie and I got a lot of nostalgia when watching it over the weekend. I'm not sure what her name is, but whoever plays her stepmother is brilliant. She adds so much to the story. Overall, I give the movie a 10/10 but that's probably just because it was such a childhood classic.
Undercover Bridesmaid
I used to LOVE this movie when I was a kid. Don't get me wrong I still think its really good, but I definitely overhyped it in my mind from when I watched it when I was like 8. Justin Baldoni, the main guy, is one of my favorite actors. He plays in a lot of shows that I like. My favorite part about this move is the schemes and twists and mysteries. I hate when a film is predictable. Overall, it was really cute and a fun one to watch with friends. 7/10
Encanto
I have never been more lost in a Disney movie. There was a lot of magic involved which I understood and was fine with. However, in a lot of their musical numbers, they would add imaginative settings and things that never happened. This would work if there wasn't already magic everywhere. I couldn't tell what was real and what wasn't. I also didn't think this should've been a musical in the first place. I honestly didn't like their voices and there was hardly any dialogue without singing. All of the little details they put into the house and characters did keep me entertained, but overall I rate it a 4/10.
Back to the Future
I haven't watched this in years and it was very nostalgic for me. I consider it to be that perfect, older, classic movie. I was thoroughly entertained the entire time and the acting is fantastic. It's just such a cute, make you feel good film that makes me happy when I watch it. I usually hate sci-fi, but Back to the Future doesn't make it feel too sciency and I appreciate that. The comedic reliefs every once in a while also make the movie in my opinion.
Midsommar
I love psychological thrillers and Midsommar was exactly that. Even though I fell asleep watching it the first time, the second time I was wide awake and intrigued the entire time. The film is so disturbing, but so interesting at the same time. From the opening scenes, with her sister killing the entire family, until the insane ending, I loved it. I think my least favorite part would be when the elders jumped off the cliff. That was a little much for me, but I understood why it was needed for the story. Overall, 10/10.
The Ghost and the Darkness
I really enjoyed this film, but felt it was a little long. I loved how they shot the grass and the building of the bridge. It was a really pretty movie. The fact that it was based on a true story made it even more interesting. Val Kilmer did a great job with his role. He was stoic, yet sensitive and made me want to root for him. My favorite character was probably Samuel. He was the comedic relief that the movie needed and I appreciated that. Really glad he didn't die. Overall, it was a good watch that kept me entertained and I would recommend it.
Old Henry
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie way more than I expected to. I'm usually not a huge fan of westerns, but Old Henry was very entertaining. From the setting, to the acting, to the plot, I have no complaints. One of my favorite things in any show or movie is a main character that I can root for. Old Henry delivered. Henry was such a frail and small looking man, but he was unstoppable. The plot twist about his identity completely threw me. I was not prepared for such a complicated, yet intriguing story. I give the film a 9.5/10, would definitely watch again.
The Lego Movie
What an entertaining film! I love animated movies that pay great attention to detail and the Lego Movie definitely does exactly that. The plot was meant for kids obviously, but I still enjoyed it. I was babysitting and the kids I was watching didn't take their eyes away from the screen. I think it was the bright colors, pop music, and just the fun nature of the movie. I would totally recommend this to anyone who wants a cute little watch, especially if kids are around.
Twilight
I'm obsessed with these books and unfortunately, this movie does not do them justice. It's definitely a fun one to watch with friends, but I find it pretty ridiculous. From the strange acting, to the filter that made the actors look deathly ill, and the rushed plot, it was just an odd film. Some parts were so bad, it was almost comical. It is also hard to stop once you've started this series. I ended up watching all three in one weekend. As someone who hates romance movies, I honestly don't know why I like this series so much.
Now You See Me
I watched this movie when I was little, but it had been a while. I honestly forgot how much I enjoyed it. The problem with me and movies sometimes is that I get bored. With this one, that is not the case. I love plot twists and Now You See Me is full of them. I can never guess what's coming next and that's what keeps me interested. I thoroughly enjoyed how different each of the characters were and how their personalities work together. I've realized that my favorite movies are when there's scheming for a long thought out plan, that they then have to carry out to save the day or themselves. I like seeing each part of whatever they've thought up come together and work out, even with a few hiccups. Overall, an 8/10 movie.

High School Musical
It's an incredible movie and I hate musicals. I think I'm biased because I watched it a trillion times when I was younger, but I thoroughly enjoy watching it each time I see it. The casting is spot on and I love seeing some of my favorite actors so young, Once again, I like when a plot has a scheme and then ends with them carrying it out. Personally, High School Musical 2 is my favorite, but this one is a close second. My favorite character forever is Troy Bolton even though he can be stupid. Watching it this time with a friend who's never seen it also made it more exciting. Overall, 10/10 every time.
The Notebook
Jasmin did make me watch this movie. I'm not a huge romance fan, obviously, but I do appreciate the legacy of this film. Honestly, it didn't quite reach my expectations. The Notebook is one of those movies that everyone has seen or heard of and no one ever says a bad thing about it. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams did an incredible job. It really felt like they were in love which sold the entire story. I also liked how the story was told by elderly Allie and I don't disagree that it was very sad. However, I was not as moved as I think most are by the film. Overall, it was a good watch and I'm glad that I can say I watched it, but I probably won't be watching it again.
